AMANDA Technology Training
On the AMANDA technology training, I worked as both an instructional designer and a project manager. I formalized a plan and identified and secured stakeholders who approved the plan. I designed templates for the course materials. Using Captivate and other development tools, I built a suite of e-learning courses. I created the visuals and recorded and edited audio. I created a style guide and accessibility standards that other teams later adopted. These courses were SCORM 1.2 compliant for use in SAP CityLearner.
On the project management side, I conducted planning sessions with stakeholders, and created a project plan, scope, and schedule.
The AMANDA training allowed existing employees to smoothly transition to the new system, and it helped onboard new employees for several years after go-live. After the success of this project, the bureau renewed my contract multiple times over 4.5 years. During that time, I created several onboarding programs and provided consultation to the learning team on instructional design practices.
Here is a brief sample of an e-learning course from the AMANDA training program. A Quick Step Guide and Practice Guide accompanied the course. Employees began their learning journey from a program landing page and had access to a sandbox, where they could practice their skills.
To streamline course development, I introduced design documents to the team as well as the concept of gated development based on the ADDIE framework.
